I know this is not weight loss related but it is my blog and I will write whatever the hell I want, Right?!
I love skin mask, sugar scrubs, peel-off masks, pretty much anything that you can put on your face I like to try.
I will be 35 next month….AHHHHHH. I definitely do not have perfect skin but to my own shock, I do get complimented on not looking my age quite a bit. I contribute it to my skin care routine and working out. Not only do I make my skin masks, I=in this post, I will share the supplements I take to keep your skin wrinkle free and looking young!

First I will share my 3- step skin care routine. I try to do this 2-3 times a week. When I get closer to 3 days I can really tell a difference. If I miss a few weeks I can also see how different my face actually looks.
3 step routine:
- Sugar scrub
- Gelatin Peel off mask
- Face sheet mask.
Cinnamon Sugar scrub
I love this sugar scrub. I will make a big batch, put in on the shower and use it on my legs. They get dry in the winter so this helps a million. The ingredients in the sugar scrub all have properties that will help your skin. I scrub my face for about 5 mins then wash the rest of the oil off with soap and dry.
Vitamin E Oil– is an anti-oxidant that has the ability to decrease scars ,hydrates skin, decreases dark circles under eyes, brightens skin tone and can reverse signs of aging.
Collagen powder-is responsible for giving skin elasticity and hair its strength. In fact, a double-blind placebo study conducted last year found that women who took collagen regularly for 8 weeks saw a 20% reduction in wrinkles
Cinnamon- The fragrant spice has calcium, fiber, iron and manganese, and within its bark are healing essential oils. Cinnamon’s anti fungal and anti-bacterial properties cures acne, pimples, and blemishes, soothes dry skin, enhances complexion and alleviates fine lines.
These are the two body oils I use in my scrub mix. They are both light and smell amazing!

- Mix together sugar, collagen powder and cinnamon,
- Add in body oil, just enough to coat all the sugar
- Add vitamin E oil- this oil will leave a residue on your skin when you use it, so a little bit goes a long way.
Step 2 Gelatin mask
I am going to warn you now. This is not a smell good mask. If you like to peel off and see black heads it’s awesome. This mask takes off the dead skin cells, to show a super fresh face. Gelatin is amazing for the skin and is in the same family as collagen. Gelatin is primarily used to make jello and marshmallows when you bake, But it is also AMAZING for skin.
Gelatin has collagen, which can fight wrinkles and make your skin smooth. Gelatin may also have hidden acne-fighting ingredients.
- Mix together and microwave for 12 seconds
- Spread on face and let it sit for 15-20 mins or until dry
- Peel off to reveal fresh skin!
The last step is to use a sheet mask, while my skin is fresh and a layer of dead skin has been ripped off! I like to use sheet mask that have hylauronic acid or collagen in them.
I found this set on amazon pretty cheap. 16 mask for 9.99. That is the best deal I have found so far. Post any mask you like in the comments, I am always up for trying new ones.
What supplements I take for my skin:
There are so many supplements out there. The question I get from clients is where do I start? I am actually covering a whole section on alternative medicine and weight loss supplements in my up coming Transformation Academy for Women.
For supplements, you just have to pick what you want to work on skin, anxiety, weight loss etc, and focus from there.
I only take 3 supplements for skin. These supplements will also make your hair and nails grow like crazy as well. This combo will give those wrinkles a quick kick in the ass!
Hylauronic acid– Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan, a fancy name for a vital natural substance that’s a youth-supporting part of skin. As the chief glycosaminoglycan in skin, hyaluronic acid works to keep every aspect of skin stable, safeguarded, and constantly renewed. It also has the stunning capacity to attract and hold vast amounts of moisture while decreasing fine lines.
Collagen– Like I stated above diminishes fine line and wrinkles, evens skin tone, tone and firm skin, minimizes scars and adds so much moisture to your skin. In fact, moisture is the first thing you will notice when you start taking this supplement.
Vitamin C – Not only does collagen need vitamin C to be absorbed, It is an antioxidant that helps repair damages cells. You should just take this daily anyways but definitely take it will collagen for maximal absorption.
