Life as we know it has gotten so busy. How do I simplify my workout life balance. We are taking on too much and getting too stressed. My clients are not immune to that, they frequently ask how they can fit in their workout routines and work and raise a family…and…and …and. One excuse I do not like hearing is ” I don’t have enough time.” Translated to I don’t want to change my routine up to fit in a healthy lifestyle. As I sit here working from home raising my toddler I have had to adjust to this as well. Here are some effective ways I teach to help you lose weight and stay on track without disrupting your day to day life.
Anxiety first lets try and decrease that anxiety. I have dealt with anxiety on a major scale in the past. I am pretty open about it as well. House payments, work, kids, family it all leads to you taking on so much that it causes stress. I am going to tell you the one quote that changed my life,” Stress is trying figure it all out at the same time.” Take things one at a time, deal with one thing and move on to the next, it all will get done I promise
Meal Prep People ( who don’t meal prep) like to argue that it takes too much time to prep. In the long run it saves SO MUCH TIME. Think about it, you have all your healthy lunches, dinners and snacks already made for you, for the week, when you are most busy. That’s less time you spend thinking on what to eat, less time driving somewhere to eat, less money you spend each week on random eating. Now you are losing weight as well. I provide a free “how to meal prep guide” with my 21 day challenge
Get up early Yuck I know right, the college me wants to smack me around right now. I used to love sleeping in, then I bore child and that child grew up. I realized the only uninterrupted me time is in the morning when everyone else sleeps. For example, i woke up at 5, got my coffee, writing my 2nd article now, finished my Christmas cards to my clients. So get up do your work or workout and you will feel so accomplished that you got what you needed to get done, done. If i tell you to get your workout done at the end of the day, when the heavy weight of the day is already on you, you are more likely to talk yourself out of it.
