How to overcome Social Interactions and stick to your weight loss
It is easy to stay on track with your healthy eating when you are in a routine. Then comes the weekend OR holidays OR Parties and all hell breaks lose. As soon as you walk into that dinner party its like your goals went straight out the window.
Wine? YES, PLEASE
Appetizers? YES, PLEASE
Seconds? YES PLEASE
Now I could write an article on what to eat at parties. What is the best thing to eat if i am in that situation? I’m not going to do it, why? Because you know what to eat and not to eat. You chose to indulge and let your goals fly right out of that window.
BUT Monica everyone once in a while is OK. Well of course it is. BUT what happens when you have a dinner party one night, kids party the next, lunch with a friend, the in-laws are in town, oh and we have that wedding all this week. You have to know when to indulge and when to just grow a pair and stick to your goals.
For most people it is really hard to get back on track if you have that many bumps in your routine. Another reason we can’t turn down bad food or drinks is the need to be liked. WE can’t say no to the hostess or your boss at a dinner.
You are a client of mine and have invested so much time and money into me teaching exactly what to eat. You have lost weight as well. Here is why most people fail at diets. They think its only temporary, this is a lifestyle. I am teaching you how to be healthy and eat right for the REST of your life to ensure that you live out your days happy and obtain that quality life. I don’t want you to go back to how you were, that’s why you came to me in the first place, MONICA I NEED HELP!! are you going to have that cupcake or wine every once in a while, of course you are. eating that cupcake is no longer who you are, you are (NAME HERE) the healthy lifestyle losing weight queen. People will admire your will power and dedication I promise.
This change is who you are now, its apart of you, and if its not then you will never see the changes you want. You wouldn’t be so quick to change your religion or opinions in a moment of weakness, so why lose your will power for one measly party. Be brave be strong and let your weight loss goals be stronger than you in a moment of weakness.
